T Level students complete a minimum of 315 hours in a real workplace. These placements are critical to their success and to the credibility of our programmes. Every placement you secure has a real impact on a young person’s future career.About the role:As a Business Engagement Specialist, you will build and manage a pipeline of employer partners to ensure every T Level student has access to meaningful placements. You will work closely with tutors and curriculum teams to match students to the right opportunities and maintain high-quality, active placements.Your primary focus will be building and securing T Level industry placements. At the same time, you will support employers with their recruitment and workforce challenges, positioning apprenticeships, training and wider college partnerships as part of their long-term talent pipeline.What you will be doingProactively sourcing and securing T Level placements across multiple sectorsBuilding long-term relationships with local employers and becoming their trusted contactIdentifying business needs and presenting placements as part of their future talent pipelineTracking progress, maintaining engagement and resolving issues professionallySupporting apprenticeship conversations where progression opportunities ariseThis is a permanent, part-time role working 27.5 hours per week (FTE 0.74), based at any of our Oxfordshire campuses, with hybrid working available.Our standard working pattern is 09:00-14:30, Monday to Friday; however, we can offer flexibility in how these hours are worked.What do you need to be a successful Business Engagement Specialist at Activate Learning?Experience in recruitment, business development, sales or employer engagementConfidence speaking to business leaders and decision-makersA natural relationship builder, proactive and solutions-focusedHighly organised, able to manage a high-volume caseload and meet targetsMotivated by impact and supporting young people’s careersInterest in the education sector is desirableWho we are:Activate Learning is a pioneering education group with a global reach, committed to transforming lives through our approach to learning.We see our employees as individuals, empowering them to make the right choices for their ambitions and careers.
