What does this Care Assistant job involve?
Hours of Work:Full Time (39 Hours) and 0 Hour Contract Available - Hours available between 07:00 - 22:00
• Place service users at the centre of care, respecting their wishes and preferences.
• Follow individual care plans and organisational training when delivering support.
• Promote and safeguard the wellbeing of all individuals supported.
• Report any changes in service users’ needs to the Senior Carer promptly.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of all care and support provided.
• Provide personal care as required, including washing, bathing, oral care, toileting, and catheter care.
• Carry out light domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and bed making.
• Support service users in maintaining relationships and community connections.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and professional standards.
• Be prepared to travel to service users in all weather conditions.
Am I the right person for this Care Assistant job?
• Minimum of one year’s experience
• Knowledge of and adherence to the Fundamental Standards
• Understanding of the regulatory framework governing the service, including the role and requirements of the CQC
• Commitment to obtaining relevant qualifications proportionate to the role
• Attendance at statutory training and any additional training as directed by management
• Adherence to all policies and procedures relevant to the role
• Openness to learning opportunities
• Participation in regular supervisions and working observation sessions
