Summary
CMA Recruitment Group are supporting a SME business based in the Basingstoke area. They have a requirement for an interim accountant who can support them on an ongoing basis. Ideally you will have experience of stock accounting or have a minimum of 4 years data experience. You will support and oversee the team, this is a hands on role your sleeves up role.
What will the Finance Manager role involve?
• Leading and cleansing the existing backlog of accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial data management.
• Overseeing stock control processes and internal audit functions, with a strong emphasis on stock understanding and maintenance.
• Managing the production of management accounts and providing strategic insights to support business decision-making.
• Supervising a small finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring continued professional development.
• Supporting the year-end audit process and resolving queries, ensuring compliance and streamlined reporting.
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager vacancy:
• Hands-on finance professional with experience in SME environments, ideally stock-focused businesses.
• Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and utilise complex financial data effectively.
• Proven track record of managing backlog accounts, month-end processes, and statutory financial reporting.
• Excellent organisational skills, able to hit the ground running and adapt quickly to fast-paced environments.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to oversee operations and contribute to process improvements.
