Summary

Sunderland is a fantastic, forward-looking, ambitious city undergoing significant transformation and economic regeneration.



Within the Learning, Skills and Employability Service, we are pleased to be driving forward several high-impact employability projects that directly benefit local residents. We are now recruiting an Employability Officer to support the effective delivery, coordination, and compliance of our employability programmes.



In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the successful management of funded employability projects. This includes leading the collation and submission of accurate monitoring returns, coordinating activity with internal teams and external delivery partners, and supporting project planning to ensure delivery against agreed objectives.



You will use your analytical and organisational skills to maintain compliance with funding rules, contribute to continuous service improvement, and develop effective processes that support high performance across the service.



You will also provide guidance and support on quality assurance and funding requirements, investigate issues of non-compliance, and help influence improvements through training, recommendations, and partnership working. The role requires strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work flexibly and proactively within a dynamic environment.
