Join Mencap as a Support Worker in Hoyland!
We're looking for caring, committed individuals to support people with learning disabilities. You'll help with daily tasks, personal care, medication, and activities—making a real difference every day. This is a care based service so you will ideally have some experience with working with individuals with complex needs.

Qualities and Skills Required:
- Relationship Building: Essential for gaining the trust of the people we support, establishing open communication, and building lasting relationships.
- Patience and Understanding: Important for navigating challenging situations effectively.
- Conflict-Resolution Techniques: Necessary for managing and resolving conflicts in a constructive manner.
- Ideally will have some experience working in a complex service.
What we're looking for:
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- People who enjoy interactivity with the people we support.
Contract options:
- Part time - 25 hours per week
Shifts:
- Days: Varying shifts between 07:00-21:30 (rota basis).
- No sleep ins required.
- Must be flexible to cover weekends on a rota basis.
