Murphy is recruiting for a People Shared Service Centre Team Leader to work within the People Shared Service team at Leeds

A day in the life of a Murphy People Shared Service Centre Team Leader
- Manage a team of administrators that support the employee lifecycle from onboarding, RTW checks, through to contract changes and leavers utilising and administering as required within the people management system (Success Factors)
- Manage a volume of telephone and e-mail enquiries as well as queries made in person via the Shared Service Centre Mailbox – ensuring SLA's are adhered to and reported on
- Act as a first point of people contact for complex queries on policy and processes
- Liaise with employees and line managers as required and in a timely manner, dealing with day to day enquiries and problem solve where possible.
- Maintain a professional level of service to the Group at all times
- Day to day responsibility for the administration tasks across the full employee lifecycle of all people functions,
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry onto people systems – ensuring the ongoing integrity of data.
- Maintain accurate system based records at all times
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times (Data Protection) – including emails, letters and filing etc.
- Ensure that all requests have been correctly approved and are processed within the agreed timescales e.g. Contract change requests / car authorisations / new starter information etc.
- Support the evaluation of people activities and the overall administration accordingly to the processing schedules.
- Support the reconciliation of payroll adjustments for both weekly paid and salaried staff.
- Assist with collation of reporting information and statistical information for reports as required.
- Collaboratively work with the other functional areas to facilitate best practice solutions that can be implemented across the function as a whole.

- Previous knowledge of working within a shared .service centre environment.
- Proven track record of providing human capital supervisory support to a large, multi-site, multi-disciplined business
- Proficient in EC (Success Factors) preferably EC to ECP plus ECSC (ticketing system)
- Ideally experience within the construction/civil-engineering sector
- Experience of running HR Processes (Stat payments / Maternity / Payroll etc.)
- Experience of working within a HR/confidential environment.
- Willing to advance in CIPD / Part qualified
- Work in the spirit of the company’s Platinum Investors in People accreditation, contributing to best practice.
- Proficient in the use of IT, good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel & Outlook
