Summary

Arcus is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Office Cleaner to join our Cleaning team in Upminster on a fixed term basis until September 2026, with a pay rate of £13.21 per hour.

In this role, you'll help ensure our offices remain clean, safe, and welcoming for employees, clients, and visitors.

The current shift pattern for this role is:

Sunday: Day off

Monday: 12:00 to 16:00

Tuesday: 12:00 to 16:00

Wednesday: 12:00 to 16:00

Thursday: 12:00 to 16:00

Friday: 12:00 to 16:00

Saturday: Day off

  • Clean entrances, stairwells, reception areas, offices, corridors, meeting and breakout spaces.
  • Dust, wipe and sanitise desks, cabinets, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Clean doors, vision panels, skirtings, and ledges.
  • Vacuum carpets; sweep, mop, and maintain hard floors.
  • Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and kitchen areas.
  • Clean fridges and microwaves inside and out.
  • Empty bins and replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet roll).
  • Store and maintain cleaning equipment safely.
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Follow all health & safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and cleaning chemicals.
  • Carry out other reasonable cleaning tasks as required.

  • Previous office or commercial cleaning experience is helpful but not essential-training provided.
  • Good understanding of cleaning products and safe handling (or willingness to learn).
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
