Introduction

We are supporting two high‑quality education settings in Hillingdon: an Alternative Provision (AP) and a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. Both settings provide highly supportive environments for students who require a more personalised, nurturing educational approach.



Each school is committed to strong pastoral support, inclusive teaching practices, and maintaining calm, purposeful classrooms where staff feel valued and students are encouraged to thrive. This role is ideal for a Secondary Teacher who is adaptable, passionate about student progress, and confident working within specialist or alternative education contexts.



The Role - Secondary - Nurture Teacher
- Deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3-4, tailored to the needs of diverse learners. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high‑quality, differentiated lessons
- Supporting student progress through assessment and constructive feedback
- Contributing to a reflective, restorative and nurturing school culture
- Collaborating with pastoral, therapeutic and support teams
- Taking on form tutor responsibilities where required
- Supporting enrichment, behaviour and wellbeing initiatives



Role Requirements - Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent UK‑recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Key Stage 3 and 4
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and restorative practice
- Be confident working with students with SEMH or additional learning needs
- Be experienced or adaptable to working within an alternative or SEN provision
- Use differentiated strategies to meet a range of learning profiles
- Be reflective, flexible and collaborative in approach
