Summary
Classroom Supervisor - Salisbury
Prospero Teaching is looking for confident, responsible, and adaptable individuals to work in secondary schools across Salisbury as Classroom Supervisors. In this role, you will lead classes during teacher absence, deliver the pre-planned lesson content, and ensure students remain focused, safe, and engaged.
This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, tutors, youth-work professionals, or anyone who enjoys working with young people and wants hands-on classroom experience. You can choose between full-time ongoing work or flexible day-to-day cover, depending on your availability.
The Role:
Lead classes using the work set by the absent teacher
Maintain a positive, calm, and productive classroom environment
Support pupils with tasks, questions, and staying on task
Manage behaviour in line with school policies
Provide cover across multiple subjects (no planning required)
Work with KS3 and KS4 year groups
Offer reliable, consistent support to the schools teaching teams
Ideal Candidate:
Experience with young people (youth work, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, etc.)
Confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour expectations
Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Adaptable and comfortable stepping into different subject areas
Positive, proactive, and able to build rapport quickly
Graduates and aspiring teachers encouraged to apply

Pay: Up to GBP130 per day
Working Pattern: Full-time part-time or day-to-day
Year Groups: KS3-KS4
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
Experience working with young people required
Safeguarding training available
Behaviour support experience beneficial
Eligibility:
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Two references covering experience with young people
