Mansfield District Council is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Development Officer with a specialism in community engagement to support its ambitions for Mansfield Museum, Mansfield Palace Theatre and in our key communities.. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and developing audiences for our National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) projects, funded by Arts Council England.

We are looking for someone with a background in: arts co-production with communities and building participation in arts, libraries, museums or theatres. If you are passionate about engaging diverse communities, growing and retaining audiences, and championing cultural experiences that are accessible and inclusive, this role is for you.

As Development Officer, you will lead community engagement initiatives in community settings and across Mansfield Museum and Mansfield Palace Theatre , ensuring inclusivity and access for all. You will use your skills and experience to build relationships with communities to develop creative activities. You will use data intelligence and insights to inform targeted strategies and develop engagement. Collaboration will be at the heart of your work as you support the wider Cultural Services team in delivering innovative and meaningful participation projects.

We’re supportive of flexible working arrangements that include hybrid or fully remote working with occasional on-site meetings.
