About the Role
As a Health and Social Care Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating engaging training programmes tailored to the needs of both colleagues and clinicians across the organisation.
You will work closely with different departments to identify training needs, address skills gaps, and support continuous professional development. The role requires a strong focus on clinician-centred practices and person-centred care, ensuring that training reflects the complex and diverse needs of individuals supported by the organisation.
You will also contribute to the development of e-learning materials, maintain accurate training records, and report training outcomes to leadership teams to support organisational growth and service quality.
Key Responsabilities
Design, deliver, and evaluate health and social care training programmes for colleagues and clinicians
Identify training needs across the organisation and develop learning strategies to address skill gaps
Deliver core training including medication awareness, epilepsy awareness, positive behaviour support, manual handling, and basic life support
Support the delivery and assessment of the Care Certificate for new staff members
Develop and maintain engaging training materials and e-learning modules
Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation
Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to support workforce development
Ensure all training supports regulatory compliance and promotes person-centred care practices
Commit to ongoing professional development to ensure training remains relevant and inclusive
About You
Minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) with proven experience delivering health and social care training
Level 3 Assessor qualification, or willingness to work towards it
Care Certificate or willingness to obtain it
Experience working within a health and social care environment
Experience delivering and assessing the Care Certificate
Train the Trainer certification in core training subjects would be advantageous
Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, autism, or learning disabilities is desirable
Strong communication, presentation, and organisational skills
