Essential person specification requirements Qualifications GDC Approved Qualification in Dental Technology (OND, BSc or equivalent) Registered with the GDC as a Dental Technician Experience Evidence of continuing professional development in relation to this post Experience of general dental laboratory procedures Knowledge and Awareness Understanding of patient confidentiality Awareness of own limitations Theoretical and practical knowledge of a range of dental and orthodontic procedures e.g. tooth eruption, morphology and clinical charting, obstructive sleep apnea Cross infection control Academic and working scientific knowledge of dental and maxillofacial materials Skills and Abilities Highly developed physical skills and a high degree of precision and dexterity in construction of appliances Able to work as part of a team Excellent organisational skills Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; and listening skills Ability to co-ordinate a variety of duties that run simultaneously
