Are you an experienced School IT Technician looking for your next opportunity?
A well‑established School Trust in Wakefield is seeking a confident, proactive technician to join their team as soon as possible to provide short‑term cover. With the Trust recruiting permanently, this role has genuine potential to become temp‑to‑perm for the right person.
The Role
You'll be supporting staff and students across the Trust with day‑to‑day IT issues, ensuring systems run smoothly and learning is uninterrupted. This is a hands‑on role where your school‑based experience will really shine.Key Responsibilities
- Providing first‑line and second‑line IT support across the school
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Maintaining devices, peripherals, and classroom technology
- Supporting staff with technical queries and system access
- Ensuring smooth running of ICT suites and AV equipment
- Assisting with general IT administration and maintenance tasks
RequirementsThese are essential for this role:
- Previous experience working as an IT Technician in a school setting
- A valid DBS on the Update Service - or willingness to apply for one
- Ability to start immediately
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- A proactive, calm, and supportive approach
