Summary

Job Title: National Account Manager
Salary: £42,000 - £50,000
Hours: 8:15am - 4:15pm

The Role:
We are seeking a commercially astute and experienced National Account Manager to join our expanding team. In this pivotal role, you will manage and nurture key national retail and distribution accounts, drive revenue growth, strengthen strategic partnerships, and identify new opportunities within both existing and prospective customers.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in executing the company’s sales strategy, maintaining excellent customer relationships, and maximising commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop strong relationships with key national accounts across retail and distribution channels
• Achieve agreed sales targets, revenue growth, and margin objectives
• Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, promotions, and contractual terms
• Identify new business opportunities and expand product listings within existing accounts
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams including marketing, supply chain, and product development
• Analyse sales data, customer performance, and market trends to guide strategic decisions
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations, business reviews, and joint business plans
• Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of account performance
• Act as a visible leader and influencer across the organisation


Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a National Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or in a similar role
• Experience managing major retail or distribution accounts within B2B or retail sectors
• Strong commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills
• Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities
• Analytical approach with experience in sales data analysis and forecasting tools
• Highly organised with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
