Summary

Aston Medical School is focused on promoting social mobility, leadership and international connectivity whilst addressing the needs of its community through its widening participation pathway, research strategy and emphasis on primary care education and healthcare leadership.

We now offer an exciting opportunity for an academic clinician to be appointed as a Senior Clinical Lecturer (Honorary Consultant) (up to 0.5 WTE academic time). This post is part of the further development of the highly successful medical school at Aston University. The appointee will undertake impactful internationally competitive research and contribute to teaching. The appointee will, alongside their academic work also undertake clinical duties at consultant level. The post is not tied to a specific clinical specialty or research area, but it is intended that the postholder will strengthen or complement current research strengths that include genomic medicine, endocrinology/diabetes, cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal research, neurosciences etc.
