Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

You will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for delegated learning activities. This involves:

• contribution to the planning and preparing of lessons
• delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or whole classes without the presence of the teacher
• monitoring pupils by assessing, recording and reporting their achievements, progress and development

The successful candidate will:

• be able to share experience of previous good classroom practice
• be able to support the class teacher/year group across the whole curriculum
• have experience of working with their own groups
• be able to show evidence of relevant training such as a HLTA qualification
• ideally have experience of working with children with SEN needs
• display a range of attributes including personal organisation, initiative, enthusiasm and a caring nature
• be flexible, adaptable, and be able to provide support and challenge
