Summary

Service Delivery Manager

Location: Stonehouse (office‑based with regional travel)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE

I'm working with a managed service provider that's looking for a Service Delivery Manager to take ownership of their technical support function. This is an office‑based role in Stonehouse with regular travel to nearby customer sites. You'll be responsible for leading a technical team, maintaining strong service levels, and delivering both operational support and project work.

What you'll be doing
  • Managing the day‑to‑day performance of the service desk and technical support team
  • Ensuring service requests and tickets are resolved within SLA
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing engineers across all levels
  • Running regular customer service reviews and building strong relationships
  • Handling escalations and resolving issues quickly and professionally
  • Producing operational and performance reports for senior leadership
  • Overseeing patching, updates, maintenance and system checks
  • Making sure customer environments remain secure, stable and compliant
  • Leading IT projects including upgrades, migrations and new solution deployments
  • Managing external suppliers and keeping project timelines on track
  • Working closely with internal teams to understand requirements and provide guidance

What they're looking for
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a service delivery or technical leadership role within an MSP
  • Strong communication skills with confidence in customer‑facing situations
  • Experience developing and managing technical teams
  • A customer‑focused approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Proven track record in delivering IT projects and managing suppliers
  • Good understanding of infrastructure, cloud technologies, networking and cybersecurity best practice
