Summary
Direct Payments Personal Assistant Required – Weekend Position (Newport Area)
I am looking for a friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to provide ongoing weekend support. The role is funded through Direct Payments to support me as a disabled parent.
The role will involve supporting me with my 6-year-old child and accompanying us to social activities such as parties, football matches and activity centres. Someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children is essential.
Hours: 4–6 hours on Saturdays and Sundays
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Duties may include:
• Supporting me and my child during outings and activities
• Helping supervise and engage with my 6-year-old
• Light household tasks
• General assistance with day-to-day activities
Requirements:
• Must enjoy working with children
• Friendly, trustworthy and dependable
• Happy to help with light household duties
• Flexible and positive attitude
• Willing to complete a new DBS check
• A driving licence would be an advantage
• Reliability and punctuality are very important for this role
• References may be requested
There may also be additional hours available to cover holidays or sickness.
This role may suit someone with experience in childcare such as a teaching assistant, nursery worker, babysitter or childcare student, although this is not essential.
