Salary: £24,030 - £24,513 per annum (£24,871 - £25,371 per annum from 1st April 2026)

What You’ll Do
As a Support Worker, you will:
Provide person‑centred support to adults with mental health needs
Assist with daily living: cooking, cleaning, personal care & appointments
Encourage independence, confidence and recovery
Deliver support in line with detailed support plans & risk assessments
Promote positive wellbeing and meaningful activity
Maintain accurate records and follow all policies & procedures
Work collaboratively with families and professionals
Use mobility equipment where required

About the Service – Acorn View
Acorn View consists of 16 modern, self‑contained flats for adults with mental health needs (some with mild learning disabilities). Support is available on‑site daily from 8am to 8pm. Individuals are largely semi‑independent and benefit from a stable, supportive recovery environment and personal growth.

You’ll be a positive team player who can build trusting relationships, communicate well, and deliver person-centred support with empathy and respect. You will be flexible, resilient, and confident in supporting individuals with daily living tasks, personal care, and meaningful activities, while following support plans and maintaining accurate records.
⏰ Shifts & Pay
Shifts are between the hours of 8.00am and 8.30pm.
The service is open 7 days a week and you will work on a rota basis.
The role may require assisting another service in close proximity which is open 24 hours a day and requires a sleep-in shift.
Extra pay for sleep-ins
Rotas include weekends & bank holiday work
