An Outstanding secondary school in Redbridge is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCo to lead and further develop its highly effective SEND provision.

The Role

As SENCo, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the school continues to deliver outstanding support for students with additional needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the school’s SEND strategy and provision
• Ensuring the effective implementation of the SEND Code of Practice
• Supporting teaching staff in delivering high-quality inclusive classroom practice
• Monitoring the progress and outcomes of students with SEND
• Coordinating interventions and targeted support programmes
• Working closely with parents, external agencies, and the senior leadership team
• Contributing to the school’s wider pastoral and inclusion strategy

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Hold the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCo qualification) – essential
• Have proven experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills
• Be passionate about inclusive education and removing barriers to learning

Outer London Pay Scale:
£37,870 – £50,474 (MPS) | £52,219 – £56,154 (UPS) + TLR

Start Date: April or September depending on the successful applicant.
