What you'll be doing:
- Assist the Central Maintenance team in supporting all aspects of CHP maintenance, overhaul and fault diagnosis.
- Undertake any other duties associated with CHP plant and general areas as directed by the Customer Account Manager.
- Provide 'hands on' advanced mechanical and control system training to Service Engineers when required
- Support operational regions with in depth fault finding and optimisation of CHP engines, control systems and balance of plant.
- Provide technical assistance with internal/external failure reports and contribute to 'Lessons Learnt'.
- Carry out and support diagnostics through remote desktop software
- Assist in specifying critical and spare parts to be held within the region to support first fix.
- Take lead on small projects as required
- Contribute to technical workshops and workflow sessions to drive continuous improvement
What we're looking for:
- Be conversant with the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment required to carry out engine servicing and repairs
- Have qualifications and/ or experience on engine maintenance and the ability & desire to be trained by an engine manufacturer if required
- Have sound knowledge in engineering practices and be conversant with the operation of a CHP plant
- Gas Safe Accredited
- Undertake weekend roster duties as required by management.
- NVQ level 3 or Equivalent in an Engineering Discipline
- In depth knowledge of CHP control systems and PLC's
- Driving license
