Summary
The post holder will provide a Paediatric Phlebotomy service for Children and Young People aged 1-12 years, or 1-18 years with additional needs, for Nottingham city and Nottinghamshire South The post holder will be required to carry out phlebotomy skills, under both direct and indirect supervision of the Phlebotomy Coordinator and Professional Development Lead, in the Childrens Development Centre and in community clinic settings. To deliver high quality care to paediatric patients / service users in the community and clinic settingTo work effectively within the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).To work flexibly and innovatively to meet the needs of the registered populationTreat patients / service users as individualsContribute to the public health agenda by raising awareness of health and well-being needs to individualsContributes to the service development to support the service re-designMaintain accurate and contemporaneous documentation to ensure timely, effective communication and data collection.Documentation demonstrates clearly the organisational Guidelines for Records and Record Keeping. See job description and person specification for further details. Please note that this post does not meet the pay or skill level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary / skill level is below the minimum required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment.
