TeacherActive is proud to be working with educational institutions in Cannock who are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with additional needs and make a real difference in their education.
The Role
You will be supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working closely with teachers and the SENDCo to help pupils engage with learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND
•
Supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
•
Assisting teachers in adapting learning materials
•
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
•
Helping create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children or young people with SEND
•
A patient, caring, and proactive approach
•
Strong communication and teamwork skills
•
A passion for supporting young people in education
