Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a Head of ICT Service Delivery to play a key leadership role in ensuring the effective delivery, reliability and continuous improvement of ICT services across the Trust. Working closely with the Director of ICT & Systems, the postholder will support the delivery of secure, high-quality technology services that enable staff and learners to work effectively and support the Trust’s operational and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operational delivery of ICT services across all Trust sites, ensuring reliable and consistent service through effective management of the Managed Service Provider (MSP) and acting as a senior escalation point for major incidents.
• Oversee the Trust’s ICT infrastructure and networks, ensuring systems are secure, resilient and fit for purpose, with robust backup, disaster recovery and connectivity across the multi-site environment.
• Manage and provide technical assurance for the Trust’s Microsoft 365 and identity environment, including access controls, endpoint management and the secure rollout of system updates and new technologies.
• Strengthen cybersecurity and compliance by ensuring systems, processes and access controls meet safeguarding, GDPR and data protection requirements, while monitoring system health and managing risk.
• Manage ICT suppliers and support the delivery of technical projects, holding vendors to account for performance and value for money while delivering infrastructure upgrades and continuous service improvements.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft MCP/MCSA, CompTIA, ITIL Foundation).
• Proven experience in IT operations, infrastructure, and service delivery management.
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, Windows OS, and networking.
• An individual with strong collaborative leadership skills
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across Trust sites.
