Are you an enthusiastic, passionate Teacher of Art with a proven track record of strong outcomes looking to join a successful and supportive school? Wadebridge School is seeking a qualified Teacher of Art to join our well-resourced and thriving Art department. This role would be suitable for an experienced teacher or early career teacher (ECT).
About the Role
Within Art, students study a range of different disciplines within the subject, with a key focus on developing confidence and well-grounded skills in observational recording. At Key Stage 4, students study OCR GCSE - Art, Craft and Design specification, which allows a wide interpretation of thematic development in a range of different disciplines.
The Art department is well resourced, with two large specialist rooms, with a dedicated IT area. Our dedicated team is supported by an experienced Art technician.
This position would suit an experienced teacher with a track record of excellent student progress across Key Stage 3 and 4, or equally a newly qualified teacher who can demonstrate the potential to make a positive impact on students’ outcomes. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, confident, with an absolute commitment to thehighest standards of teaching and learning and agenuine enthusiasm for nurturing a passion for Art.
Candidates should have energy and vision to build on the current progress of the department and be keen to develop existing modules of work to promote student participation, progress and attainment and to realise aspirational progress for all.
