Summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking to recruit a PFI Expiry / Handback Manager to join our Total Facilities Management team. This role will support the planning, execution, and monitoring of PFI expiry and handback activities, ensuring a smooth, timely, and efficient transition of Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects back to local authorities. Reporting to the Head of PFI Expiry and Technical Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential risks and roadblocks, developing proactive solutions to keep programmes on track, and providing regular status reports that highlight emerging challenges along with recommended strategies for successful project delivery.

Our Total Facilities Management team delivers integrated asset management and maintenance services across education, leisure, corporate, health and residential sectors. We focus on keeping facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently – helping our clients create spaces that work for everyone.

This is a full-time role based at either one of the site offices in the North London Schools Contract, or Swanscombe, Kent. Travel will be required to other sites within the PFI Contracts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the PFI Expiry processes and strategic goals for the FM business, attending client meetings where required.
  • Assist the Head of PFI Expiry overseeing the technical and quality aspects of PFI expiry/handback, creating a future vision and technical strategy aligned to current and future business priorities
  • Supporting Technical delivery and compliance to allow a smooth PFI Expiry data review and transfer.
  • Ensure all project work/PPM/evidence of remedials is available, including supporting the migration of PPM and statutory compliance data into a CAFM system
  • Manage surveys in their entirety and ensure that all actions have been planned and carried out ensuring all evidence following completion of works for Surveys is captured and logged
  • Consult with contractors, Helpdesk and site teams to get works completed. Work with and update Senior Contract Manager as budget holder.
  • Assist in issuing PO’s; Approve RAMS and be the point of contact for contractors; sign off works with Technical assistance where required
  • Visit sites to capture completed items; liaise with Pinnacle leads on technical items/surveys required/further investigations
  • Support the development of PFI Expiry contract summaries and ‘key target date’ calendars for each of the main contracts.
  • Manage project specific risks including the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and review of demobilisation plans.

Key requirements:

  • Management of Condition Surveys, including site inspections and updating progress
  • Management of delivering multi skilled projects, collaborating with sub-contractors and on-site staff
  • Experience and understanding of PFI FM operations and the successful delivery services
  • Technical or building services background with prior involvement in the management of compliance
  • Understanding of CAFM systems
