Wet Trade Operative
Are you a skilled trades professional with strong plastering and finishing experience? We’re looking for a dedicated Wet Trade Operative to join our multidisciplinary team, helping maintain and improve our client’s housing and property stock across the borough.
About the RoleIn this hands-on role, you’ll carry out a broad range of repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works, delivering high‑quality workmanship and excellent customer service. You’ll manage your own workload, diagnose issues, recommend remedial work, and work closely with residents to ensure smooth, timely completion of each job.
What You’ll Be Doing- Carrying out plastering, finishing, dry lining, tiling, decorating, mould treatment, and associated building works.
- Completing repair and maintenance tasks to a high professional standard with minimal supervision.
- Inspecting building features, fittings, and equipment within housing stock.
- Supporting apprentices and colleagues with guidance and specialist knowledge.
- Working safely in line with all Health & Safety legislation and client policies.
- Using mobile technology to record work, update asset information, and access job details.
- Driving and maintaining a company vehicle, ensuring safe storage of tools and materials.
- Providing responsive, resident‑focused service across a wide range of occupied and empty properties.
