Summary

The Doctoral College (DC) Senior Research Culture Officer plays a central role in shaping, embedding, and sustaining a positive and inclusive research culture across the University. The post holder will coordinate the delivery of institution-wide research culture initiatives, supporting engagement across the research community through activities, policies, training, and communications.

Working closely with academic and professional stakeholders, the role provides strategic coordination and guidance for key research culture structures and projects, including Research Culture governance groups, the Researcher Concordat, and the University’s REF Strategy, People and Research Environment (SPRE) activity. This role is key to maintaining and enhancing a sustainable and vibrant research culture for academics, researchers, postgraduate researchers (PGRs), and the wider research community.

Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role.

This appointment is a fixed-term contract until 01 March 2029
