Summary

The Intermediate Care Team are looking for a Band 5 nurse to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. Holy Name is a community bedded unit which specialises in therapy and rehabilitation, and as part of the service you will have the opportunity to utilise a wide range of skills and to learn new ones. Full training and support will be provided.

This role helps people with complex health needs by delivering high‑quality nursing care that supports recovery, comfort and confidence.

You’ll work as part of a supportive Intermediate Care Team, providing safe, person‑centred care across community bedded units. You’ll use your clinical skills to guide patients and families through challenging moments, always focusing on dignity and clear communication. You’ll also play an active role in the smooth running of the service during your shifts.



What you’ll do:
• Assess, plan, deliver and review nursing care for a group of patients
• Communicate clearly and sensitively with patients, families and colleagues
• Support and coordinate junior staff, students and new starters
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure safe clinical practice
• Respond to clinical changes, emergencies and incidents with confidence
What we’re looking for:
• Registered Nurse (RGN/RN) with up‑to‑date clinical skills
• Experience working in a nursing role and understanding of multidisciplinary teamwork
• Strong communication skills and a calm, compassionate approach
• Ability to prioritise care, use sound judgement and work independently when needed
• Flexibility to work across services and willingness to continue developing skills
