Summary
Referrals come from Primary Care in Newcastle and surrounding areas, other medical specialities, and orthopaedics. Tertiary referrals come from a wide geographic area from West Cumbria to Teesside and north to the Scottish Border. The successful candidate will share responsibility for running and ensuring best practice throughout our service. The post-holder will participate in a consultant non-resident on call rota for rheumatology and will conduct a ward round with the on-call registrar on Saturdays and Sundays when on call.
