Job Title: PE and Outdoor Learning Teacher/Instructor

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £44,000.00 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

About the Role
We’re looking for an energetic and creative PE and Outdoor Learning Instructor to inspire pupils aged 11–19. You’ll lead engaging PE and outdoor sessions and may also support wider areas such as PSHE and Independent Living Skills. Candidates without QTS are welcome and may be appointed as an Instructor.
This role offers the chance to bring physical activity, outdoor learning, and wellbeing to life for pupils with Autism, SEMH, and a range of SEND needs. You’ll help promote healthy lifestyles, work closely with the Quality of Education team, and contribute to PSHE and whole‑school wellbeing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, inclusive PE and Outdoor Learning lessons tailored to SEND needs.
Create a positive, motivating environment that supports health, wellbeing, and active participation.
Contribute to PSHE and Healthy Living, including promoting mindfulness and healthy choices.
Encourage teamwork, independence, and confidence through physical activity.
Support access and inclusion by identifying and removing barriers to participation.
Assist with organisation of off‑site sports activities and maintain links with community sports clubs.
Keep clear records of pupil progress, engagement, and behaviour.
Uphold school policies and model professional behaviour at all times.
Build strong relationships with pupils and staff, promoting inclusion and positive behaviour.
Support pupils’ personal needs, safety, and access to learning.
Undertake form tutor responsibilities as required.

Experience in educational, childcare, or SEN settings
