Summary
Job Title: CNC Machinist
Contract: 6 Monts initially
Location: Coventry, CV6
Basic rate: £22.46 per hour
Night shift rate: £29.87 per hour
Working times:
07:00 to 15:30 Monday to Thursday
07:00 to 12:30 Friday
20:45 to 07:00 Monday to Wednesday
20:45 to 05:30 Friday
Role Overview:
Operate and set up multi-axis CNC machines, ensuring production of quality conforming parts as per engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run and set up CNC machines, perform tool changes and offsets
- Inspect and measure components, record features and update MRP
- Maintain safety, quality, TPM, and 5S standards
- Complete paperwork and support continuous improvement
- Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience on multi-axis machines
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
- Skilled in reading engineering drawings and using measurement tools
- IT literate (SAP, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Able to work with minimal supervision and meet eye test requirements
