Are you passionate about supporting students with challenging needs? Do you have a knack for
guiding and managing behaviour to create a positive learning environment? If so, we have an
exciting opportunity for you!
Sandbrook Primary, as part of the Watergrove Trust, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated
‘Learning Mentor for Behaviour’ to join our dynamic team. As part of our pastoral team, you will
play a pivotal role in providing specialist support to individual learners and small groups, helping
them navigate challenges and thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Behaviour Management: Respond to challenging behaviour and provide targeted support
to students, both reactively and proactively, to prevent future incidents.
Mentoring and Coaching: Engage with students on an individual basis and in small groups,
offering guidance, encouragement, and strategies to enhance their learning experience.
Collaborative Approach: Work closely with staff and external agencies to develop and
implement tailored support plans, ensuring the holistic well-being of our students.
Alignment with Ethos: Embody the Sandbrook Primary and Watergrove ethos of fostering
a supportive and inclusive learning environment, where every child can reach their full
potential.
We are looking for:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust
with students, staff, and families.
A proactive and resilient approach, able to adapt to the needs of diverse learners and
manage challenging situations effectively.
Commitment to the values of the school and a desire to contribute positively to the
community we serve.
Previous experience of working in a primary setting, supporting individuals, small groups
and whole classes to reach their potential by overcoming barriers.
