Summary

Team Member (Visitor Centre)Salary (Grade 1) - £13.08 per hourHours: We have 4 part-time positions available to support within the Visitor Centre on fixed term contracts from April until 1st November 2026. Our site operates 7 days a week, so weekend work will be required within these roles. Specific shifts available will be discussed at interview.Location: National Museum of the Royal Navy Portsmouth, Portsmouth Historic DockyardLinking Navy to Nation with inspiring stories and experiences. Here you can come aboard the most famous ships, planes, and submarines of the Royal Navy and experience them through the stories of the people who served on them. You’ll be part of a friendly, high performing team, welcoming and engaging visitors in a unique and inspiring heritage setting.You’ll play a key role in welcoming our visitors onsite, alongside providing warm, confident and engaging customer service, you’ll have a clear sales focus, actively promoting Gift Aid and guidebooks and working towards weekly conversion targets. These targets are an important part of the role and are approached in a supportive, positive way, helping to enhance the visitor journey while maximising income.
