Summary

Job Title: Finishing Foreman - Housing Association (HA)
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to oversee the final stages of residential construction on Housing Association (HA) plots in Oldham. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all properties are completed to a high standard, managing subcontractors, coordinating trades, and delivering plots ready for inspection and handover.

This role requires strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to maintain quality, safety, and programme targets during the finishing phase of the build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the finishing stages of HA residential plots, ensuring works are completed to programme and required quality standards.

  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site operatives involved in final trades such as joinery, decorating, tiling, mastic, and final fix installations.

  • Carry out regular quality inspections and produce snagging lists to ensure plots meet Housing Association specifications.

  • Manage and track snagging and de-snagging processes to ensure timely completion.

  • Ensure properties are ready for client inspections, building control sign-off, and handover.

  • Maintain high health and safety standards on site in accordance with company policies and regulations.

  • Work closely with the Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, and Customer Care teams to ensure smooth plot completions.

  • Monitor progress against programme and escalate any delays or issues promptly.

  • Ensure materials, labour, and subcontractors are organised efficiently to maintain completion targets.

  • Support with NHBC/Building Control inspections where required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman or Assistant Site Manager within residential construction.

  • Experience working on Housing Association or affordable housing plots.

  • Strong understanding of finishing trades and quality standards in housebuilding.

  • Ability to manage multiple plots simultaneously.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality homes
