We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Team Leader to join a well-established housing repairs and maintenance service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader to manage a front-line operational team, ensuring high-quality repair works are delivered safely, efficiently, and with a strong focus on customer service.
This role is predominantly site-based, where you will supervise trade teams, monitor performance, and ensure works are completed to the required standards while delivering value for money.
The RoleAs a Repairs Team Leader, you will oversee a team of Trade Operatives and Multi-Trade Operatives delivering responsive repairs and maintenance services. You will be responsible for coordinating workloads, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and supporting the team to meet operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities-
Supervise and monitor a team of Trade Operatives and Multi-Trade Operatives to ensure objectives and quality standards are achieved

Coordinate and allocate repair and maintenance tasks across relevant trades in line with service requirements and time frames

Provide guidance on best practice, procedures, and safe working methods

Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures

Conduct quality inspections of completed works and arrange rectification where required

Act as a technical escalation point, supporting the team with operational issues and technical advice

Manage tools and specialist equipment, including safety checks and storage controls

Monitor and track performance metrics, ensuring reporting is completed in line with business requirements

Lead on team performance management, including work allocation, monitoring completion, and supporting formal appraisals

Work collaboratively with colleagues across the service and provide cover where required

Proven leadership experience managing operational or trade teams

Strong coaching and performance management capability

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

Experience with resource planning and financial awareness

Experience conducting inspections and producing reports
