HLTA - PPA Cover (Primary School)
Denton, Tameside | Full Time | Minimum 6 Weeks | ECTs Welcome
HG Recruit are working in partnership with a friendly and well-established primary school in Denton, Tameside, who are looking to appoint a confident and adaptable HLTA or aspiring HLTA/ECT to provide PPA cover across the school.
This is a full-time position starting 23rd February for a minimum of 6 weeks, with the potential to extend. You'll be based in one school only, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships with pupils and staff and really settle into the team.
The school is seeking someone proactive, reliable and comfortable leading lessons independently across different year groups.
Whether you're an experienced HLTA or an ECT looking to gain valuable whole-school experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and make a real impact.
The role will involve:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons during teachers' PPA time
- Covering classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Managing the classroom and maintaining positive behaviour
- Supporting learning and keeping pupils engaged
- Adapting to different year groups and subjects throughout the week
- Working closely with teachers and senior leaders
We're looking for:
- HLTA status or strong classroom experience (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Confident leading a class independently
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
