Summary
Oakley Coachbuilders is a well-established business, manufacturing high end bespoke horseboxes and other recreational vehicles. Our premises include state of the art spray booths and a specialist paint department working on a wide variety and different sized horseboxes, recreational and commercial vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for a trainee or junior paint technician with a willingness to learn, high attention to detail and who can grow their skills moving forward. Full training will be given in a variety of commercial vehicle types and finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of new vehicles for high-quality paintwork.
- Surface preparation on repair and used vehicles.
- Masking up different patterns and designs.
- Application of primers, base coats, and lacquers.
- Learning to use different paints and spray techniques onto a range of materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as needed.
Key skills required:
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality workmanship.
- Experience working independently, and collectively within a wider team.
- You should ensure good housing keeping skills to ensure a tidy and safe working environment.
