Salary: qualified* up to £43,392, FTE
Unqualified teacher or apprentice route up to £34,376 per annum FTE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with recent or current experience as an Electrician to join our team. Whether you are an experienced professional ready to teach, or you’re looking to start your journey into education through an apprenticeship, this is an excellent opportunity to use your industry expertise to shape the next generation of Electricians.
About the Role
You will support learners enrolled on a range of programmes from Level 2 through to Level 3, including full time study programmes and Level 3 apprenticeships.
Level 2 courses focus on core intermediate knowledge, while Level 3 develops advanced vocational and technical skills.
You will help plan, deliver and assess learning that is current, engaging and relevant—supporting both young people and adults to achieve their full potential and progress into sustainable roles within the building services industry.
Entry Requirements for both roles
To join us, you must already hold:
• Level 3 Electrical qualification
• Level 2 (GCSE) Maths and English at grade 4 or above or equivalent

Teaching Route (Qualified or Trainee Teacher):

• You do not need a teaching qualification to join us in Further Education. What matters is your passion for developing tomorrow’s workforce.
• We will fully support successful applicants in gaining their teaching qualification at no cost**, while you work.
Apprenticeship route:
As an Apprentice Teacher, you will:
• Be employed full-time on a permanent contract**
• Spend part of the week working in the Electrical team at our Harlow Campus
• Spend part of the week training at Harlow College
• Follow a personalised training plan designed around your needs
You will teach young people across the Education and Training Sector (ETS), collaborating closely with colleagues to support learner progress and wellbeing.
On Programme Requirements
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will complete:
• On programme Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs)
Evidenced through your paid teaching role at Harlow College
• Teacher Training Course
Delivered one day per week at the College
• Level 2 Maths and English (GCSE, grade 4+)
Required before the programme begins
This apprenticeship typically takes up to 2 years to complete. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded Level 5 Teaching Certification, qualifying you as a fully trained Teacher.
