Event Cleaner (Temporary)
Location: Royal Armouries, Leeds
Salary: £12.71 per hour (paid weekly)
Contract: Zero-hour contract, Temporary FTC 29.04.26 – 29.05.26
Join our vibrant events team at the Royal Armouries this May! We’re looking for reliable, proactive individuals to support a series of large-scale events at one of Leeds’ most prestigious venues. If you’re energetic, proactive, and ready to get stuck in, this is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Event Cleaner, you will be responsible for:
- General event cleaning across public and back‑of‑house areas
- Litter picking throughout the venue
- Toilet cleaning and restocking
- Vacuuming and wiping down surfaces
- Maintaining high hygiene standards at all times
- Responding quickly to cleaning requests during busy periods
Shift Options:
We offer a variety of shifts across our events, ranging between the hours of 6am – 11pm, giving you flexibility while earning extra income. Please note that shifts can be long and physically demanding, but you’ll be part of a supportive, high-energy team throughout!
Who We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a cleaner is beneficial but not essential. If you bring the right energy and attitude, we want you on our team!
You’ll be great for this role if you:
- Are 18 years or older (due to licensing requirements)
- Can remain calm under pressure, especially during busy periods
- Are confident and comfortable engaging with guests
- Have strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Are reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic
- Have a positive and welcoming attitude
