Where will you be working?
To achieve that as part of the Scottish Water SR21 and SR27 delivery programme of works. The successful applicant will help support the MEICA Delivery to all parts of Scotland including the highlands and islands. The role will primarily be based in the Glasgow area and can include some hybrid working as required.
This role will be within our MEICA Delivery and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services. We’re proud to be a key partner on the Caledonia Water Alliance and will successfully and safely work with Scottish Water to jointly deliver SR21, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland capital investment programme. As part of MGroup. This role will also extend into the Scottish Water SR27 programme of works resulting in an additional 12 years partnering with Scottish Water.

What will you be doing?
The Mechanical Project Engineer role is to provide technical solutions for the mechanical element of CWA projects. To ensure the efficient delivery of the MEICA project elements whilst working in collaboration with all other departments associated with the project delivery and the CWA management structure. They will be required to liaise with all project stakeholders in a professional manner and work progressively and consistently with other elements of the project team at all times to ensure successful project delivery.
You'll be an experienced MEICA professional specialising in the mechanical delivery of capital projects from design through to commissioning. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, coordinating subcontractors, managing project documentation, and ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards. Strong collaborator across design, commercial, and site teams, with a track record of resolving technical issues, supporting procurement, and maintaining progress against programme targets. Known for clear communication, client engagement, mentoring junior staff, and driving innovation and safe working practices to support high‑quality project outcomes.
What you’ll bring
- A minimum of 3 years water industry related experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willing to travel
