Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Emergency/Biliary Nurse Specialist to join the General Surgery team at Kings Mill Hospital, part of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This exciting role offers the opportunity to support patients presenting through the Urgent Surgical Care pathway, particularly those with acute biliary conditions.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the provision of Surgical Urgent Care, working collaboratively with medical and nursing colleagues to ensure the delivery of the highest quality patient care. You will help coordinate expedited ambulatory surgical care, ensuring patients receive timely assessment, treatment and follow-up.
Working across clinics, wards and theatres, you will support patient pathways, assist with pre-operative optimisation and help coordinate urgent surgical procedures. You will also provide specialist advice, education and support to patients, carers and staff, ensuring care is patient-centred and aligned with best practice.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated nurse with general surgical experience who wants to develop specialist skills, work autonomously and make a real impact on urgent surgical services while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
