Summary

This is an opportunity to work for an ambitious local authority with a vision for improving the quality of life for everyone in the borough. At Hertsmere you’ll be working for a unique council which owns the world-famous Elstree Studios in an area rich with film, television and media connections.

We are looking to recruit a General Practice Estate Surveyor to join our small but busy Estates team. The role covers all aspects of Estate Management, including handling the acquisition and disposal of land and buildings, carrying out valuations, rent reviews, lease renewals, managing non-operational properties and providing professional advice to Council Members and Officers on matters related to the Estate.

Candidates must be degree level (or equivalent) and should be RICS registered and preferably be a registered Valuer. Demonstrable experience of estate management and valuations is essential as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to think creatively.

The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
