Position: CNC Setter/Operator - HAAS Experience Essential

We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator with strong hands-on expertise working with HAAS CNC machines. The ideal candidate will be confident in setting, operating, and potentially programming CNC machinery to support efficient, high-quality production. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC milling machines-specifically HAAS equipment.
- Program and operate CNC machinery using CAD/CAM and CNC programming techniques (experience beneficial).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Perform tool changes, adjustments, and calibration to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Conduct routine inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, tooling, or process issues to minimise downtime.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and report any machine performance concerns.
- Safely handle materials, including the use of forklifts or warehouse handling tools.
- Support quality control by verifying parts, tolerances, and dimensions throughout the production cycle.
- Document setup procedures and maintain accurate production records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have proven experience setting and operating HAAS CNC machines.
- Knowledge of CNC programming, milling, turning, stamping, welding, or fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls, PLCs, and CAD platforms (e.g., SolidWorks or similar).
- Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Experience using precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment is highly desirable.
- Exposure to packaging or assembly line environments is beneficial.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to production standards.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
