The role

We are looking for someone who enjoys practical outdoor work, has an interest in environmental or civil engineering projects, and wants to develop their skills within a supportive team committed to protecting and enhancing Wales' natural environment, to join us at Natural Resources Wales (NRW) as an Integrated Engineering Site Supervisor.

You will play a hands-on role in supporting the safe and effective delivery of civil engineering operations across Wales. Working alongside engineers, project leads and operational teams, you'll help plan, coordinate and supervise work on the ground, ensuring activities are well prepared, compliant and aligned with programme needs.

A key part of your work will involve visiting sites to collect and record accurate information, carrying out surveys, and supporting inspections of quarries, bridges, culverts and harvesting coupes. You'll produce clear sketches, plans and GPS-based records to support design and delivery decisions, contributing directly to the Forest Engineering Design & Delivery Plan.

You'll monitor construction activity through NRW's civil engineering framework, helping to keep projects on track and ensuring contractors meet required safety, environmental and quality standards. You'll maintain a comprehensive site diary and support the ongoing monitoring of infrastructure to ensure forest operations remain safe, clean and commercially viable.

As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the NRW office at the above location and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.
