Summary

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineer Site Supervisor to oversee mechanical engineering works across three live hospital environments in West London. This role is suited to a supervisory-level engineer with strong experience in commercial mechanical systems, critical environments, and client-facing responsibilities.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for supervising site teams, coordinating works across multiple jobs and sites, diagnosing faults to support quotations and proposals, and maintaining excellent client relationships within a healthcare setting.
Full operational, commercial, and scheduling support is provided by the wider operations team.

Working Pattern & Coverage
Site-based supervisory role across three hospital sites in West London.
Regular movement between sites may be required depending on workload and programme.
Core working hours: 07:30 – 17:00.
Working within live, critical healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, coordinate, and deliver mechanical engineering works across multiple hospital sites, ensuring compliance with contractual, statutory, health & safety, and site-specific requirements.

Diagnose faults within Steam and MTHW systems to support the preparation of quotations, technical proposals, and follow-on works.

Plan, programme, and coordinate labour and resources across multiple jobs and sites to meet programme and client requirements.

Directly supervise approximately 6–8 site operatives, ensuring high standards of productivity, workmanship, and safety.

Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all works are supported by approved Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and permits to work.

Attend weekly client meetings, maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders, and proactively identify opportunities for additional works and variations.

Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, including understanding cost implications, variations, and value-added opportunities.

Complete job records, reports, and documentation using company systems and digital platforms, including Microsoft applications and job management software.


Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential
Supervisory-level experience within mechanical or building services engineering.
Proven experience working in critical environments.
Strong experience with commercial mechanical systems, including Steam and MTHW systems.
Ability to diagnose faults and support the preparation of quotations and proposals.
Experience supervising site teams of 6–8 operatives.
Strong client liaison and communication skills.
Sound understanding of health & safety requirements, RAMS, and permit-to-work systems.
Ability to plan and coordinate works across multiple jobs and sites.
Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn in-house systems.
Right to work in the UK.

Desirable
Previous experience working within healthcare environments.
Experience preparing and submitting RAMS and permits in hospital or healthcare settings.
Strong commercial awareness, including understanding variations and cost control.
Background in mechanical maintenance, installation, or project-based works within commercial buildings.
