Hyde is looking to recruit a Surveyor.

As a Surveyor, you will be responsible for inspecting, specifying, and overseeing repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works across our properties. You will ensure works are delivered to the highest standard, in line with Hyde’s policies, budgets, and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Conduct pre and post inspections of properties.
Diagnose and report on damp, mould, and condensation issues.
Carry out structural surveys and provide technical reports.
Manage contractors to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money.
Handle insurance claims and assess damage-related repairs.
Attend resident meetings, providing advice and addressing concerns.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, financial procedures, and Hyde’s service standards.
Investigate complaints and liaise with internal teams to resolve issues.
Skills and Experience Required:

Previous experience in social housing is essential.
Knowledge of planned maintenance and refurbishment is desirable.
HND/HNC in Construction or 3+ years of relevant experience is essential.
Strong understanding of building regulations and health and safety standards.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is required.
Willingness to travel as required.
