Summary

The ReUsers Retail Assistant (up to 3 or 4 roles) will help ensure the smooth running of the retail side of the business. This role involves providing excellent customer service to all visitors including individual shoppers and trade customers and supporting the wider team to maintain a welcoming, organised, and efficient store environment.

The Retail Assistants play an active role in supporting our participants.

One role also includes PAT testing of electrical equipment.

Hours: Various hours between 15 and 24 hours per week are available, including a minimum of 2 full weekends every four weeks. Actual working patterns will be discussed with successful applicants but full days are required (Mon-Sat: 8am-4:30pm, Sun: 9am-4pm)

Essential Criteria:
- Excellent customer service skills, with a minimum of 12 months experience
- Able to work with minimal supervision (after training)
- Ability to lift and carry stock within required weight limits and be able to stand for the majority of the shift
- Some experience of supporting or training colleagues
- Good time keeping and reliable
- PAT testing qualification or relevant experience (for PAT testing role only)
- Able to get a DBS certificate that is satisfactory to us (we will pay for the DBS check)

Desirable Criteria:
- Customer service qualification
- Experience of charity shops/ retail
- Experience of working with a wide range of people including those with the challenges to employment our participants have
