Job Description
We are currently supporting a friendly and well-regarded primary school in the Wells (BA5) area seeking a confident and experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher (Year 1/2) to join their team for a short-term assignment.
The role involves delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupil development, and contributing to a positive and structured classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Monitor and assess pupil progress
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other members of staff
• Maintain strong classroom management and safeguarding practices
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• Previous experience teaching Key Stage 1 (Year 1 / Year 2)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A positive and proactive approach to teaching
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
