Summary
CAMS Fire & Security PLC has been established since 1984 certificated to NACOSS Gold approval for Security Systems and LPC LPS 1014 approval for Fire Alarm systems. To add to our team we require a Fire Remedial and Service Engineer who wish to further their careers. We are expanding within our fire department and require experienced Fire Engineer covering an area predominantly within a 50 mile radius of the Stevenage area working on a variety of premises including commercial and residential premises.
The main duties will include Remedial works (with some Servicing depending on workloads) and Maintaining Fire Alarms and Smoke Sensing Systems.
Preferably you will be experienced with many of the following products: Apollo, Advanced, Airsense, Morley, Kentec, Hochiki, Menvier, C-Tec, Kidde, Vesda and have at least 5 years’ experience within this field. A candidate should be I.T. Literate
A mobile phone, electrical test equipment and a company van will be provided.
You must have a full UK driving license.
Duties and Values:
• You will be a vital ambassador for the company.
• You will need to work in line with relevant standards, BS5839 and BS6266, training will be given in this area if required.
• You must have a 'can do’ attitude and will be a willing part of a mobile work force.
• You will be polished, articulate, enthusiastic with a sense of drive.
• You will implement work orders provided by the office and remain adaptable and dependable under time pressure.
• You will be able to diagnose electrical problems with panels and devices by studying diagrams, manuals, and specifications; troubleshooting systems and conducting tests.
• You will maintain records of works done.
• You will need to be able to maintain fire alarm systems by conducting system tests and completing preventive maintenance procedures.
• You will maintain a safe work environment at all times by following all relevant standards and procedures.
• You will update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities made available through the company and reading technical publications.
• You will be reliable, punctual and driven to succeed, a desire for learning and self-improvement
If you are interested in developing your career with a progressive and rewarding Company your expected annual salary to be in excess of £38,000 per year (depending on experience) which includes enhancement pay for statutory holidays, overtime and travel and stand-by.
In addition, AE Pension + 23 Days holiday + Bank Holidays.
